1.1 The proposal at this location is to extend the existing no waiting at any time restriction on both sides of the junction of Seaside and Roselands Avenue.
1.2 One objection has been received, on the grounds that the money would be better spent on other things. No items of support were received for this proposal.
1.3 The proposal follows a request from the Road Safety team to improve sight lines at and around the junction. The request was based on a number of historical crashes at the junction over a 3-year period.
1.4 The Road Safety team have decided not to pursue extension of the existing restriction, on the basis that no crashes have been recorded at this junction in the most recent 3-year period since the site was originally assessed. Having considered the objection and feedback from the Road Safety team, officers are satisfied that there are sufficient grounds to withdraw the proposal.
1.5 At the time of writing, Councillor Stephen Holt has not replied to provide their views regarding the recommendation.
